About
Roxanna

a full- Time wedding photographer shooting worldwide & specializing in documenting ARTISTIC AND EDITORIAL wedding photos.

Based in Alabama and documenting weddings worldwide, Roxanna Duke is a wedding photographer known for her artful, editorial approach and deeply emotive storytelling.

Her work blends a documentary eye with intentional composition, capturing not only how your wedding day looked, but how it lived and breathed in real time. Each image is crafted to feel timeless, evocative, and deeply personal—preserving the quiet in-between moments, the unspoken connection, and the energy that cannot be recreated.

Originally, I pursued a degree in elementary education, but during the pandemic I began to realize my heart was being pulled in a different direction. Around that same time, I had been introduced to the world of weddings and photographed my first one in December of 2020. I immediately fell in love with the energy, the emotion, and the privilege of documenting such meaningful moments. Not long after, I made the decision to leave college and pursue photography wholeheartedly. What began in Mobile, Alabama capturing celebrations and milestones soon grew into something far greater than I ever imagined. In the summer of 2022, I took the leap into photography full time, trusting the Lord to guide the path ahead. Since then, He has continued to open doors and place incredible people in front of my camera.

My path to photography wasn’t traditional, but it was intentional.

THE MEANING
BEHIND THE MOMENTS

I photograph because moments matter. Not just the big, obvious ones, but the small, fleeting seconds — the way your hands brush together without thinking, the quiet laugh shared between two people who know each other so well, the way light catches a veil in motion. These are the memories that stay with us long after the day is over.

I want couples to remember more than the event itself — I want them to remember how it felt. The nervous excitement, the stillness before everything begins, the joy and tenderness that often go unnoticed. Those in-between moments are my favorite to capture, because they are real, raw, and utterly unique to your story.

Photography, for me, is about connection — capturing the soul of a day, the rhythm of a relationship, and the intimacy that makes your story yours alone. That’s why I do what I do: to preserve the love, the laughter, and the quiet magic that might otherwise be forgotten.

Fun Facts

I have a sweet 10 year old kitty who is the love of my life. She's named after Sherlock Holmes' John Watson (the RDJ version). Ninety percent of the time you can find me and Watson, snuggling on the couch laughing at either Modern Family, New Girl, or Parks & Rec, with a glass of wine.

I started collecting vinyl records way back in middle school. It was an activity my Dad and I bonded over growing up. Over the years my collection has expanded and grown. I have over 200 albums. My all time favorite record would be my Buckingham Nicks album!

Do you ever wish you could go back in time and live in a certain time period? For me, that's the 80's. I have a whole shelf of my 80's films, and albums on vinyl. If it was up to me I'd live every day as an 80's teen but sadly, John Huges did not direct my life.

Harry Potter is my past present & future. I'm an annual pass holder at Universal Orlando and jump at every opportunity to go. Growing up as an only child, I turned to books and movies for company. I love the way a good book can transport you into a different world. If a movie is that good, I'll go see it in theaters more than once for different reasons, sometimes I'll focus on the score, the next time costumes & settings, you get the idea.
